Sesame Crusted Tuna
Serves 4 as an entree
Ingredients
¼ cup black sesame seeds
¼ cup white sesame seeds
2 x ~150g tuna steaks
½ cup Uvoila Grapeseed Oil
¼ cup light soy sauce
¼ cup mirin
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon caster sugar
Method
Combine and spread sesame seeds on a plate.
Dip either side of the tuna steaks into the sesame seeds and place on a clean plate.
Heat Uvoila Grapeseed Oil in a frying pan over high heat. Place tuna steaks into the oil for 30-45 seconds on each side or until seared and cooked colour only slightly starting to travel up the side of the tuna steak. Remove to a chopping board immediately.
Slide tuna against the grain into 0.5cm pieces.
Combine dressing ingredients in a small bowl.
Lay sliced tuna on a serving platter. Scatter spring onions and drizzle sauce over the top.
